self rescue

self rescue moutain guidesSelf Rescue 100:

Climb long enough and you will be involved in or witness a climbing accident.  Do you have the skills necessary to rescue yourself or your partner?  If your answer is no you should consider seeking some sort of training to make yourself prepared such as our Self-Rescue Course.  This course is designed for lead climbers who want to develop their self-rescue skills.  Appropriate students have at least some traditional lead climbing experience.  These students may have experimented with some self-rescue techniques in the past but don’t consider themselves proficient at these skills.

Prerequisites: Students are encouraged to have traditional leading experience, but must at least have a lot of experience cleaning and seconding climbs.  We strongly suggest multi-pitch experience.
